There is a man who paints portraits of everything from alligators to parakeets to a prized black angus and this is growing into a highly specialized art business and a thriving one at that. If a person has a pet flea and is able to take a vivid picture of it, I'll make it into a painting, expresses the artist. What he is doing as of today only takes into consideration horses, birds, cats, dogs, rabbits, and one alligator.
Creatures that move about and things that stirred his creativity were his interests as a kid. He was then requested by a lot of owners to create portraits of a pet parakeet whose owner raised it from an egg, a champion rabbit, and fine show horses. A well known television actor singer and recording artist requested him to create a portrait of his horse. There was a winning black angus and he was commissioned to do a portrait of it. The subjects usually do not kick and he likes it better than painting people portraits.
From a big university in Santa Clara comes a new director of the gallery and museum and she was the former director of a big museum in San Jose and she assumed her post following a reverend who died early last month. Well known in the art world is what the new director is and she exhibited locally at the palace of the legion of honor and nationally as well.
For his works a local sculptor will be exhibiting them at a gallery in San Francisco. When it comes to his works, thirty of them with neo classical to highly abstracted forms will be displayed. A highly talented artist he is also a writer, photographer and conducts a ballet school. There was a movie where he starred in called spectre of a rose. An extended exhibit with more than 200 objects, sculptures, paintings, prints, and books coming from a private collection will be held in a famous museum.
A collection spanning 50 years is the collection of a couple from Pennsylvania. There are the works of a dozen renowned painters and also the scores of other historic greats. It was the husband who began collecting books when he was still a student of Harvard still he managed to acquire many of the more valuable objects by buying them on installment.
