Natural Remedies for Lip Care
If you wish to have a smooth and luscious pair of lips, then you must take a well balanced nutritious diet that is rich in vegetables, fruits and cereals. To avoid dark lips, stay away from smoking and stop using lipstick. Keep your lips well oiled for large time spans and try and lubricate your lips with oil and cream before sleeping. Almond and coconut oils can be mixed in equal quantities and this mixture can be applied to the lips for the night. This routine can be followed for a period of 2 weeks for good results. Prepare a mixture of ½ tsp. of Castor oil, ½ tsp. of glycerin and ½ tsp. of lemon juice and massage the lips with this mixture. Make a cream of saffron and curds and apply it to the lips to avoid darkening.
Chapped lips can be cured by taking foods that are rich in Vitamin B and C. You can protect your lips from extreme weather by applying plain cream. Before sleeping, you can apply coco butter or peanut butter to your lips. Prepare a mixture of rose petals and milk cream and apply to your lips to smoothen them. You can also mix 1 tsp. of milk cream and 2 drops of glycerin and leave it on the lips overnight for shiny and smooth lips.
Lip chapping can be prevented by hot fomentation and application of a mixture of honey and Vaseline, at least 3 times in a week. You can mix fresh butter, nutmeg and turmeric in equal quantities and apply it to the lips. Keep your lips well moisturized always and exfoliate them on a regular basis.
