Research has shown that by not consuming a healthy breakfast it will actually lead to reduced weight loss because your body's metabolism won't be running optimally. However, a nutritious breakfast isn't just a coffee and a jelly roll. As an alternative try things such as high-fiber cereals, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, etc. and fresh fruit.

For most people simply reducing the amount of simple carbohydrates helps in the process of reducing your weight and decreasing abdominal fat. Low carb diets were popular a few years ago, however some people ended up taking it to such an extreme that it became unhealthy. Reducing your weight and becoming healthy is all about developing balance in your body. This means that you would like to eat carbohydrates for energy, but you do not want to eat the unhealthy ones.

Adding more complex carbs and eliminating simple carbs from your diet will bring about weight loss very quickly. Replacing enriched bread with whole grain is an example. You can also do things like eliminate or reduce the amount of cookies, pastries, cake and other simple carbohydrates and replace them with fresh fruits and vegetables. Making these types of easy changes will lead to losing belly fat in a short time.

And of course physical activity such as working out plays an important part in helping you to lose weight and your abdominal fat. Both diet and exercise has proven to be a very effective method when trying to lose weight. You don't need to become a jogging fanatic or a yoga guru. Instead simply start walking several times per week or as often as possible. It not only helps when it comes to losing weight, but it also provides other great health benefits. Numerous health experts recommend doing some kind of physical activity such as exercising at least 3 to 4 times per week for 20 to 30 minutes a session. Don't go overboard because it's hard to maintain exercise routines that are excessive. You want something you can easily follow over time.

The fastest and best way to lose your belly fat is to make modest changes in your eating habits and physical activity and to stay with it consistently, this gives your body time to adjust to the changes and you'll be a lot more likely to keep the weight off for good.
