Dogs are a part of our collective consciousness, none the less. They behold an inner Santa Clause for every one of us. When I think about a dog, I think about the rascal pup that I brought home, the tiny little fur ball that grew into a golden giant glowing like a heart of gold. We all love our pets, and this is why we bring gifts to them on this glorious holiday. God bless the ancients!
For one, this is for the love. Dogs have a home in our hearts. Cats, ferrets, sugar gliders, spirit creatures, bats, donkeys, worms, owls, butterflies, parrots, beta fish and so many others fill the void which we have to take care of other creatures. Humans are amazing beasts with a titanic capacity to give. But, in recognition, so are the animals which naturally surround us, and those whom we choose to surround us.
If I were you, I would go to my nearest pet store and choose the most glorious accoutrement for my little thing-a-ling. Anything who enjoys it when you pet it all the time is the best investment to feed. It is time to get down with what is up. Pets are not just animals who happen to be around, but they are family members who we should care about in a big way. Life is pretty radically all over the place. Why not love something furry? Keep it simple.
Take your pet with you into your heart, mind and inter-dimensional yoga travel. Touch base. Get right with your god. Make sacrifices if necessary. This is about your most holy. The winter solstice is a time rich with many traditions of gift giving.
You have got a dog. They are your hero. Do what they command, and nothing less. If there is a lot of space under that tree of yours, submit as many gifts to that glorious pup as you can.
Get your dog a mad special gift. Seriously, that old little ragamuffin deserves some sweet little dog bed, a piece of red meat, a weird plaything, a stiff bone, or something from good ole saint Nick. Get it together, go down, and buy that special pup that thing that you have always wanted to give your special furry beast.
Is this not the time for gifts? Cheese? Dog beds? Bones? Take what you can out of your pocket and find your pet a sweet gift for this special holiday season. You decided to give your pet a home. Now, give it a gift to make it feel like it is actually welcome. There are a hundred different kind of crazy ideas that you can present to your gorgeous hound toothed maiden. Organic, locally ranched meats are all the rage these days. Your gift could be a pound of sweet buffalo from the neighborhood bison charity. Going for broke will make your pet as happy as a hound in heaven.
