Anyone can learn how to pick up women. Sometimes people think the only place to find a woman to date is at a party, but this is not true. Pay close attention and you will notice that women are everywhere. Using this tried and true practice: flirt with every woman you can, even women you are not interested in and soon you will be a pro.
When you see an attractive woman, the first thing you will want to do is make eye contact. Don't freak her out with a stare though! Then use the '3 second rule', three seconds after you have noticed here, start a conversation. The topic really isn't that important, if you don't know what to say, try an opinion-neutral question that does not attract attention to you or her. She really won't be listening to the question as much as she will be noticing how confident you are.
Do you best to keep the conversation flowing at a natural, relaxed rate. This is not an interview. Try to think of some stories that share something interesting about yourself. Use humor, it relaxes everyone and makes you more human. It isn't easy to be funny when you are nervous, but you can learn how to do this. Don't pretend to know more about a subject than you really do and don't have a one topic conversation. Try to avoid religion, politics or any other controversial topic. If the conversation has a down time, this is okay and perfectly natural.
If you feel comfortable, ask her for her number. If you aren't comfortable doing this, try to find out where she might be hanging out in the next few days. Then you could 'accidentally' meet here there.
If she doesn't give you her number, don't be offended. If you can do it, try to build a friendship. You have nothing to lose. Another friend is always good. Once she really gets to know you, it is possible she might even ask you out.
A woman will know right away if you are too interested or desperate. Try to maintain a cool, collected and not too interested attitude. How would Brad Pitt act in the same situation? Think about this and try to act the same way.
