Revenge is defined as the ambition of somebody to get even. This includes retaliation after a person made another individual feel humiliated or hurt. This can also be out of a simple desire to make what the person is feeling and suffering at the moment become another person's sensation or suffering as well. Of course one can hurt another person unconsciously and so he also gets revenged at unconsciously. In other words, revenge is when someone negatively reciprocates the deeds of another person.
individuals hunt for revenge because of several reasons. All of these motives hold one thing true and that is the main goal which is to feel contented and revived after losing pride for getting humiliated or shamed. This is mainly because someone is overcome with his aspiration to do something after getting physically or emotionally hurt or downcast.
The individual may feel that he is unjustly suffering and that he should not have been in a bad position right now if only fair dealings were used and thus he feels angry or envious to another person. A simple gesture of action that by any means was not intended to harm anyone at all can be the cause of this and a more obvious cause for this would be a deliberate nag that was received or a forced hit to another individual's body.
When a person feels seemingly inferior to someone who has more power or better conditions especially when the other individual attained it in dishonest ways, he tends to be dominated by the ambition to get revenge because of being powerless over the other. This emotion is even made stronger when others are in the same situation and in a lower position and the person feels sorry for it.
Some people also become very firm when it comes to defending honor and so when someone has done enough to trample honor, whether this honor is of the individual themselves, or of his friends or of his organization or group, he would do whatever it takes just to defend this honor and bring back good name and dignity.
People get revenge in various ways and this usually depends on the situations that someone is in as well as the personality of the person. People do a lot of different things to hunt for revenge but all of these are done in order to do something for a self-esteem that was stomped upon.
a person can get revenge by letting another person experience or feel the same way just as he made the individual feel and experience in order to teach the other individual a lesson. an individual can also get revenge by punishing another individual for the things that he has done to make him learn his lesson. Letting another individual feel embarrassed especially for making up stories is also another way to get revenge by telling another side of the story or the actual story along with other means to attest to the truthfulness and credibility of it.
Forgiving the other person and live life as it is after losing pride or getting hurt is still the most effective way of getting revenge though. The reason for this is that one makes other people see someone as someone who can stand up to his own even when he is stomped down and thus he is also building up a good image of themselves.
