BMW, the world class car producer is launching it’s all new Sports Utility Vehicle BMW X1 in India. This grand launch of BMW X1 is planned on the last week of 2010. This all new SUV car is designed with a stylish look, comfort, distinctive control levels, stylish exterior and interiors and with special features. With its three variants of Indian Corporate, Cool Elegance and Highline Editions, this compact luxury cars are going to run on Indian roads. This cheap and best SUV model of BMW is powered by the two editions of 1.8 litre petrol and 2 Litre Diesel engines. Other features on this model are 4 Cylinder, 1995cc, 16 valve, twin turbocharged engine with 177 BHP power, 4000rpm with 350 Nm and the maximum torque at 1750 rpm. To facilitate the ride, it is designed with six speed transmission gearbox for an effective power supply.
With the consideration of its competitors, BMW X1 is designed as a rear-wheel-drive vehicle which makes the price a reasonable one. Though the BMW X1 model is designed based on its BMW 3 series some special features are not added with this latest BMW X1 model like BMW 3 series corporate variants, but they are included in the High Line and Cool Elegance models. Features like sun-roof, i-drive interface, and multiple CD changers are not added in the latest corporate model except a CD player. brand new BMW X1 series cars have consumer friendly price tags and costs are very cheap and reasonable by buyers of Indian auto market. Base Model of 1800 cc gasoline versions would cost Rs 22,00,000 and the 2.0 Litre Diesel version is priced at INR 23,00,000. The high-end variant auto, the Cool Elegance will be retailed at Rs 32,50,000. The 2 Liter Diesel Exclusive version would cost Rs 29 Lakhs. The launch of rational priced luxury series of BMW will be a great news to Indian car buyers.
BMW’s Chennai production plant was geared up to produce these BMW X1 version and this company had plans to produce this new car in last quarter of this year. Chennai Production Unit of BMW is equipped with the capacity to manufacture 5K units per year and to manage the rising demand BMW has plans to import the new X1 series autos. Actually, the BMW 3 series automs and the BMW 5 series sedans of gasoline and diesel versions were produced in its Chennai Production Unit in a CKD form. BMW India has seen a 43% rise in its Indian car market product sales with a total of 3,301 units within 8 months.
The outstanding structure of these all new BMW X1 series cars will catch the attention of customers with its all new features. Under the rough calculations the mileage is estimated up to 11 kmpl on Indian city rides and 14 kmpl on highways. Longer Wheel base is a supplementary feature with an overall length of 4454 mm, width of 1798mm and with a height of 1545mm.
