As you play World of Warcraft as a Hunter, you might really look forward to hitting level 10 so you can get your first pet; however, you have to allocate your Talent points to specific attributes, which you may have trouble deciding on. You can place your talent points into any one of three talent trees, which is just like all of the classes in WoW; your style of play will greatly determine what things you should spend your Talent points on if you want to succeed in the game.

With Hunters, you could do well to spend your points on Survival, Marksmanship, and Beast Mastery, in order to gain the most benefit from you class. Be sure to learn as much as you can about these trees so that you can know more about how to spend your points on these useful, but different, talents.

It is the Beast Mastery tree which basically ends up helping you create your pet. Since Hunters are able to make use of their pet both for tanking and increasing destruction, you will want to put your earned points in the Beast Mastery tree so you're guaranteed to be able to use that pet as your tank. If you are one of those Hunters who likes to solo, this is the tree for you.

The Marksmanship tree is the one that is going to help you get the most damage from the shots that you fire while at the same time helping you conserve mana as you do it. You'll get more damage from the weapons that you are using and you'll be able to attack more quickly overall. If you want to be a great damage dealer, this is the tree for you.

Finally, we have the Survival tree, which gives you great tools when you want to do work with groups. This is where you will get access to better crowd control techniques, and you will also find that your ability to use traps is made more effective and much more impressive. Though it tends to be the least popular tree, you will find that this tree can be extremely important in raid situations.

When you decide that it's time for you to play a Hunter, just you check out your options and put together a plan before you start playing. If you end up soloing for most of your play time, be sure to use the advantage of the buffs for your pet that will be in Beast Mastery. If you decide your primary focus will be to gear up your Hunter for raids, then you need to decide the role you will be playing - Survival or Marksmanship would be excellent choices.

One reason Hunters are considered a terrific class is having the perks of being able to quickly level. So if your goal is to hand out plenty of damage while sidestepping any to yourself, and you are excited about the pets you can gather, as well as seeing what Azeroth can offer you, check this class out. Keep in mind if you choose to play Alliance, there's an alliance guide for you to decide where you need to go, and what choices are the best for Hunters.
