Toxins - Cigarettes include over 6000 chemical substances that are hazardous to the human body. Among them are poisons used to destroy rodents for one, and many that are known carcinogens (cancer causing). These poisons reside in your lungs and get into your circulatory system, Spreading throughout the body. They are sheltered from your natural detox systems by the tar there in your airways as well.

Emphysema - This disease is caused by a combination of hight heat levels and the cigarette chemicals when you draw in cigarette smoke. The alveoli - which are small sacs of air at the end of the lungs - are damaged by this combination, never to be healed. This stops the fundamental function of putting oxygen into the bloodstream and taking out the carbon dioxide from the blood. If you lose many of these alveoli you will be breathing mroe shallowly and nothing can repair this damage!

Bronchitis - This is a condition caused by irritation of the bronchial tubes in the airways}. Tar and chemicals have aggravated the tubes, this leads to an inflammation and from time to time irreparable scarring. The effect is an unruly hack and often bringing up fluids with the cough. Trapped by the mucus they can sometimes cause infections which can painful and soemtimes can knock your health around a huge amount! Your lungs, throat and all parts of the respiritory system can be damaged by this.
