Toyota’s cheapest car Etios has got its 12,000 Advance bookings in India
Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited (TKML), the joint venture of Japan’s famous auto manufacturer Toyota and India’s Kirloskar, is playing a major role in domestic car market. TKM has its big prospects on its new introduction of Toyota Etios. With its stylish notchback model, Toyota Etios the reasonably priced vehicle of Toyota is going to face the Indian car market. This notchback variant vehilcle is coming with 5 variants such as Toyota Etois J, Toyota Etois G, Toyota Etois G Safety, Toyota Etois V and Toyota Etois VX. TKML is very sure about this car and it has plans to intoduce this car by April, 2011 in Bangalore. It is not only a reasonably priced luxury auto ; it offers a big value for your money. Toyota is planning to commence the production of this auto by the end of 2010 and it has a target to sell 70,000 autos next year. Toyota Kirloskar also has trgets to sell more autos in up-coming years and it hopes to get more than 150 dealerships in India. Its well planned motor and gear-box units are in construction phase and Toyota is expecting to open its engine unit by 2012 and transmission unit by 2014. So, Toyota Kirloskar will be able to do its assembling processes of its new launch Etios with their locally manufactured engines and transmissions in another two years.
To raise its market share in domestic automile industry, TKML is launching its well designed vehicle Toyota Etios exclusively for Indian customers. Toyota’s engineer team has claimed that Etios’s design and performance have come out well beyond their expectation. Toyota, with the values for its quality has got orders for this new vehicle before it reaches the display area of show rooms. Because of this big support from people, Toyota has some strategies to double its sales to 140000 units in the forth-coming years and it expects its new product will influence 50% of the sales. With its excellent sale records over years, the net sale volume is recorded with 55000 units in the last fiscal year with a market share of 2.4%.
Like Maruti and Hyndai companies, TKML is entering the notchback auto segment by introducing its Toyota Etios in Indian automobile. Toyota Kirloskar is planning to sell it’s budget auto for Rs. 4,90,000 with a standard variant. The high-end version of this automobile is expected to be rated at 6.6 lakhs. Definitely, this auto is going to be a challenge to other leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Tata, Hundai,etc with its unbeatable quality. this company Toyota claims that the 1.5 liter gasoline powered Etios, has been tested meticulously on various types of roads and Etios has traveled more than 2,00,000 Kms on Indian roads.
