Kinect Sports
Kinect Sports
Kinect Sports is a collection mini-games(sports) featuring soccer, beach volleyball, bowling, table tennis, track and field, and boxing. It proves to be an excellent title to play with your buddies or family and Rare's special touch makes it much better experience than you'd expect. The sheer variety will keep you hooked, although it is best enjoyed with friends or family.
Highest Ranked Dance Games
Kinect had two Dance games at launch. Dance Central, and Dance Masters. You can't help buy compare the two. I like both games. They are different though.
Dance Central is more follow the moves the dancer is doing, and Dance Masters is a lot more like Dane Dance Revolution. Sometime you hit the marks at certain times.
Dance Masters has better multiplayer, with 2-player co-op on a single console and versus over Xbox live. But Dance Central has a better Single Player and a more mainstream music selection. Dance Masters is more DDR (J-pop) type songs.
There are a few different types of "arrows" you have to hit at the certain times. (Note I only call them arrows to compare them to Dance Dance Revolution).
-There is a basic hit the mark type of circle, where there is a circle with a larger circle around it that shrinks. You have to move your hand in that space at the time both circles match up (usually goes with the beat).
-There is a hold circle (similar to the hold arrows), where you hold your hand in the circle for a set number of beats.
-There is a multi-beat circle (indicated by a number of dots in the smaller circle) which you have to hit the circle multiple times in a row to the beat.
-There is a foot marking that you hit with either left or right foot on the ground, also usually to the beat.
-There are silhouettes that you have to match the pose of. Which usually aren't too hard, but there is quite a variety in these. Usually if you are following the on screen dancer you can get these pretty easy.
-There is a steam line type of wave that can vary in speed and location. You hit these by waving your hand across the line, at the same speed as the on screen dancer.
All of these are pretty well varied, and on the harder difficulties can be mixed together or doubled.
The songs consist of the typical DDR songs, with more unlocking as you progress though the game (or by meeting certain criteria).
What is your opinion on dancing in front of your television? Well, whatever the answer may be, Dance Central is infectiously fun and probably "the game" to get you on-board the Kinect hype train. The more you play the game, the more confident you'll get in your Dance moves which makes the game very rewarding and gives players a lot of satisfaction at the same time. Dance games are not a new thing, but nobody does it quite like Dance Central: the full body tracking; rewarding scoring system and overall experience simply can't be matched by any other dance game on the market
Highest Ranked Kinect Games for Kids
Kinectimals
If you love cute cats and animals in general, Kinectimals is definitely worth picking up. Aimed at kids aged between 5 and 15 years old, they will have hours and hours of entertainment. The "videogame-y" parts of it aren't stellar, as the minigames tend to get in the way of the real fun more often than not, but the animal raising aspect (the real fun) of the game is amazingly good. The cats are so cute and expressive and fun to watch. And it is really, honestly, fun to play with them and care for them. This is one of the better virtual pet games I've ever seen. It clearly isn't going to appeal to the hardcore, shoot everything, "M" rated Xbox 360 gamer (at least they won't admit it), but for kids and families and big softies who like cats, Kinectimals is worth a look.
Kinectimals
Kinectimals, the first pet game to hit Microsoft's Kinect is probably one of the most robust and deep virtual pet games on the market. Instead of babysitting your cubs like-in other similar games, players are free to interact with their pets however they wish. Interesting mini-games, adorable pets, great animation and gorgeous locations make this the perfect Christmas game for your hyper-active kid because it is tiring as hell.
Highest Ranked Kinect Game for Action
Fighters Uncaged is the only Action game bought out by Xbox 360 and it is an unique and gritty tournament style fighting game exclusive for Xbox 360 that delivers 100% controller-free action via the body mapping and motion capture capabilities of Microsoft Kinect. The game features 70 real martial arts move -- including punches, kicks, defensive actions and more -- that the player instantly triggers in-game against opponents by performing the actual move in front of the Kinect sensor. Additional features include intense combo possibilities, special voice activated moves, over-the-top opponents and multiplayer support, including co-op and online leaderboard functionality on Xbox LIVE.
