There are several types of leaders in MLM, but if you really think of the leaders you know, they can be summed up into three categories. As revealed, you can clearly decide which leader you want to follow, and learn from them.
There are the MLM leaders that are great at closing, and get you to join the business immediately. In some cases they are recruiting every breathing person in a 3 foot radius. Then you are taught to do the same. Recruiting is simple , they say. Just open your mouth.
They hint of how much money they make and can not say exactly. So you really aren t clear on who is really making what kind of money.
Their goal is to recruit as many people as possible and build their team to catch up with the big boys. They are competitive and driven, and yet seem to struggle at the same time. There are bonuses usually attached with recruiting, so maybe it is all worth it.
Then there are the MLM leaders who have been in since the beginning, and it is quite clear that they make booku bucks. These guys have the touch. They seem to have it all.
They present the I just got x amount of people, and those people got x amount of people and repeated it. It seems so simple in the way they present it, but yet, not defined enough to really sense what they did, or how hard it was to do.
They too probably started out recruiting every breathing person with a 3 foot radius. They say timing is not important, but yet, most everyone in their position was in early. People flock to be near these people hoping that the prosperity they acquired will rub off.
Then there are the MLM leaders who don t see any of this as normal marketing they see themselves teaching to others. The attitude of tell x amount of people, who tell x amount of people just isn t real marketing. To them it seems like stalking and offending.
They are drawn to attraction marketing where people come to them. They use real business marketing varying from online to direct mail, radio and print advertising. In fact, in some cases see other business models as a more viable business, and leave MLM all together.
They do not sell anyone on their product or service. They have people call them because they are willing to show people exactly how they do their marketing and exactly how much they make by doing those steps.
There is no cold calling, home parties, or such behavior of asking family and friends to join their business. They work online and access 1.5 billion people who are looking for a home business and are qualified buying business partners.
At the end of the day, all these leaders have one thing in common. They don t quit. They do what ever it takes to become the leader. The question is, what kind of leader are you looking for? What type of leader do you want to become?
