It is valid to say that computer ownership is an indicator of search engine usage. Search engines are incredibly useful. They have had a major societal impact, it is astounding that you can just go type in anything you want into a search field and information is available in under two seconds. Before search engines, you had to rely on going to the library to get any information. Hardly uprising but search popularity equates to a huge market. Paid advertising's birth has plunged search engines into a multi-billion dollar marketplace,Stiff competition has arisen because of the lucrative possibilities. At the moment, online, trenches have been dug between the major armies of Yahoo, MSN, Google, and fledgling Ask. Who will emerged unscathed from this search rush? Certainly , the reward of a billion dollar market is worth the risk to all the competitors

what is the goal for major league search? Mouse Clicks, on the paid adverts they showcase during search engine usage. Google's carefully placed sponsored ad entice a click which is the goal for a search engine. The more who use , the better the chance that someone will click on a ad , quantity over quality because 100% wont click on adverts but if a million people search today, some will and that where search engines make their money.

So who are the search kings who battle this out? And who is gaining ground? The trifecta of MSN, Google, and Yahoo dominate the top with Ask fighting its way back with interesting search features.

Google is evolving faster, garnering 80% of the market . Google grossed an estimated 3 billion dollars in 2006, all from advertisers utilizing search result placement. Why is Google advanced so far? 2 reasons ,Google has the clever algorithm, a complex mathematical equation that ranks and collates web pages based on the keyword used. the Algorithm is highly specialized and Google only hire IT savants to tame it. Second, is the beauty of Google.com itself, attracting consumer search.

Google's homepage deserves a look, only type your keyword in the search box and hit search. Nothing else to distract which is user friendly, giving users immediate search.

MSN, or Yahoo's homepage is a stark difference. It is heaped with sorts of stuff to do games to the news. This stuff is useful, but distracts people from typing into the search box and monetizing. it could be a major part in why Google has such a gigantic lead in the volume of searches they receive compared to other players.
