Work at Home Jobs that Pay
Is getting up at six in the morning, rushing through the morning routine with the children and the kitchen, and diving headfirst into the car for the grand experience of an hour's commute through rush-hour traffic, really that appealing that you would do this for the rest of your life? Perhaps it's time you looked into those work-at-home jobs that they keep talking about. Of course there's always the fear that without structure, you'll just let yourself go. And you could have a vague feeling that most work-at-home jobs are just scams or undependable at best? All of these are legitimate concerns. But legitimate opportunities for working at home if you can find them, can be a true blessing that can free up a good third of your life for things that are more productive and rewarding.
Go on virtual jury duty
Here's one that you probably never heard of - it's a job as a virtual juror. You do know one thing about being on a jury - it's boring and it is thankless. You do know of people who look on this as a boon when they're unemployed, for the extra cash; but there is no way that you would want to do this on a regular basis. You could want to change your mind though. There are thousands of lawyers out there who want to see what their arguments sound like to the average Joe who is likely to be sitting on the jury panel come the big day when they try to talk the jury into accepting eveything they say. You sign up to be an e-juror with a lawyer, you get paid about $10 an hour to go through their arguments and tell them how swayed you are by them.
Did you just understand what he said?
Being an interpreter or translator can be kind of glamorous when you work for the UN. But these jobs pay pretty well even when you do it anonymously and interpret from home. There are lots of companies that deal with other countries that need freelance interpreters and translators. It would really help if you could get certified by taking one of the exams there are for this. In the end, you could easily make $20 an hour right off the bat.
The grand geek at home
One of the best work-at-home jobs to have, is if you are a whiz with computers. You can easily make $75,000 a year with such a job, and you will not have to get out of your La-Z boy all day. The job is being a web developer with a small business developing code for them and performing software installations.
Getting the right kind of online job is all about finding out what you're good at, and seeking the opportunities for it. Much of the time, you don't even need certification of any kind. You just need people to prove that you are good at what you want to do.
