After watching Mike Tyson on Oprah Winfrey I thought that the days of negative press was behind him. Well it would appear that I was wrong. I guess that the champ is still a big attention grabber for the media. According to anonymous sources the champ ended up going one round with a photographer at LAX International Airport. The sad part about this little situation is that it could land the champ back in jail if it is determined that this is a probation violation.
I contacted the Maricopa County Probation Office and was told that their office will soon start court proceedings to determine if Tyson did or didn't violate his parole. Personally I think Mike has been on a pretty good path to putting his life back together. I hope that he pulls through this.
Both Tyson and the photographer Tony Echeverria both claimed they were struck Wednesday during an altercation. Reports say that only the photographer was treated for minor injuries. One report said the photographer suffered from a small cut to the forehead.
Both men were initially detained by airport police on suspicion of a misdemeanor battery, but were released after questioning. Now the fate of both men rest with the city attorney who will ultimately decide whether to file charges or not.
The former heavyweight champ is currently on probation after pleading guilty to cocaine possession and driving under the influence in Arizona two years ago. This is the charge that is dangling over the champs head at the moment.
An on the spot Jackin4Beats reader text from his cell phone to say that Tyson was extremely corporative with airport police, and after taking their report they let Tyson continue his trip.
According to Tammy Brook, Tyson's spokeswoman, the former heavyweight champ was traveling with his wife and 10 month old baby when he was attacked by an overly aggressive paparazzi.
Brooks went on to explain to the press that Tyson was doing nothing more than protecting his family, just like any father and husband would.
Echeverria's camera was booked as evidence and police also were checking if there was any surveillance video of the incident.
I can certainly understand that the paparazzi's have a job to do. I also understand that they have their rights, and all of that. However the question that I place before you is this... When is to much to much... Where is the line in the sand that the paparazzi's shouldn't cross. Personally I think that some paparazzi's take things a little to far!
