This superior little company has won industry awards for several years running. They are also well known as an airline who fights hard to stay on top of cost in order to keep you within your budget for your travel destinations. One example of this is that Sun Country has earned a spot in the top ten Travel and Leisure for four straight years. For four straight years Sun Country Airlines has been among the top ten in Travel & Leisure. Travel & Leisure has listed Sun Country among its top ten for four years running. For four years running Sun Country Airlines has been awarded a top ten position in Travel & Leisure. And that's only the beginning, Conde Nast Traveler has picked Sun Country Airlines for their top honors for three straight years. But that's not the end of their award winning career, Conde Nast traveler has chosen them for top honors three years running. And this is of course only the beginning others like Conde Nast Traveler have even kept Sun Country in top honors for three years. For the past three years and counting Conde Nast Traveler has help Sun Country in its top honors club as well. Sun Country wants the same thing that all customers want - solid service and a satisfying product. This company is upfront about their old-fashioned beliefs about air travel - it is stated on their website for all to see. Sun Country operates according to their business philosophy, and the various forms of recognition they have received attests to that. Sun Country announced in July of this year their award of a top ten domestic airline according to Travel & Leisure Magazine. This award is part of Travel & Leisure's World Best Service Award for 2010. This award is based on the surveys of those who actually fly the various airways. Eligible carriers range in size of domestic carriers. Which of course makes it especially satisfying for Sun Country to have made the list.
About one year ago, in December of 2009, Sun Country Airlines treated a group of 80 children in ages ranging from 5 -12 to an imaginary flight to the North Pole. A Flight To The North Pole was what the event was called. This was a tremendous gesture by Sun Country who worked with local chapters of Big Brothers and Big Sisters along with United Way. They succeeded wildly with making those children very happy for the holidays. The plane taxied up and down the runway for about half an hour, and the Sun Country employees treated the kids to a big story about flying to the North Pole.
The thing that is striking about Sun Country Airlines is they really do have a solid and consistent reputation for quality.
It would be different if they were not able to walk the talk, but they do and do it very well. From the very beginning, they made it their business to treat customers with as much respect and friendly experience as possible. So here they are, thirty years later and they are still living the dream that started with on flight to one city.
