Once you're shopping for a Lotus, you do not want to be driving it within the city. Sitting in traffic jams, praying for non permanent lights to remain green ("please don't change!"), and avoiding potholes and speed bumps is hardly fun. No, a Lotus is meant for the open street - the extensive, open, twisty roads of the British countryside where the one maintain up is when you pull over to admire the view.
I do not fake to know a lot about vehicles, but I know what I like and I like Lotus cars. They're attractive, fast, fun to drive and also you're assured to turn heads if you're driving one, and isn't that what driving is all about? The mannequin I like in particular is the Lotus Exige S. Ok, so it is not the simplest of vehicles to get into, however once you mastered the artwork of that it's really a really comfortable ride. There's not buckets of space inside the cabin, however this isn't a car you'd take on a camping journey - this automobile was made for driving. The Lotus Exige S is an absolute joy to drive alongside twisty roads; it has wonderful cornering talents and distinctive grip. With the flexibility to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, the Lotus Exige S isn't for the faint-hearted. Nonetheless, it is not as 'money guzzling' as you might think, you can get around 200 miles out of 1 tank of petrol, which isn't too bad, and you may rest assured that the rev-hungry Toyota engine is reliable.
Certainly one of my favorite places to drive is in the south-west of England, significantly Devon and Dorset the place the roads are clear of site visitors and the views are merely stunning. Maybe someday I will drive my new Lotus Exige S in Dorset, however for now I am going to have to stick with my trusty Ford Fiesta.
