You can also put the name into Google with quotation marks around it. This usually helps to bring up more relevant information, although remember that there is probably not any public information about this person that is published on a website.
To me the online background check is one of the most useful tools out there and one that I use regularly. It gives you the ability to find out complete details about anyone's past within minutes.
