With modern tools, computers are like cars. They're like cars because only some people really understand how they work and how to fix them. Computer viruses are a good example of this as many individuals don't fully understand them. Contrary goes completely wrong using their computer they must have a virus. Some fear that pictures and data files hide viruses. This isn't the case. The reason behind this is that computer pictures are data files and they need certain programs to become read. The majority of the viruses today hide inside applications not the information files. This is because data files aren't executable (which is essential for herpes to operate).
I don't know how that one started but some conspiracy theorists believe that the anti-viral software companies are the type that create the viruses. They believe they do this to enable them to earn more money from their clients. This couldn't be further from the truth. These companies base their reputations on being the good guys and even the least hint of these doing something like this could result in the business go under. They've their hands full targeting the viruses that others make so that they do not have the time to make themselves.
