Summer weddings are gorgeous because all around you have a feeling of new awakening. Here are some tips to have a great Summer Wedding.
. Use fresh flowers for decoration. Have your flower vendor bring it to you the morning of the wedding and a separate batch brought to you in the evening. Spray them continually with water to ensure that they keep fresh throughout the day.
. Use light muslin on linen to decorate an outdoor wedding. This will keep the heat out and let the breeze in.
. If you are having a wedding outdoors, arrange for umbrellas and canopies to protect your guests.
. If you are having a wedding indoors, check that the venue provides for a lot of ventilation and there are fans and air conditioners placed every few feet. Air coolers are a better idea if you are in a dry place to ensure that there is good moisture circulation in the air.
. Provide your guests with cool water and summery drinks to keep them cool. Ensure that the caterers bring in loads of clean ice to cool all the drinks. Serve salty drinks such as Jaljeera to keep the guests from getting dehydrated. Also, keep some glucose handy in case someone feels dehydrated.
. Get the helping staff to soak napkins in cold rose water and offer them to the guests. This will help the guests feel fresh throughout the ceremonies.
. Keep some wet wipes handy to keep yourself fresh through the day. Also, make sure that you drink plenty of water. Follow the sipping method, so you quench your thirst and yet, don't need to visit the restroom too often.
. Wear clothes that breathe well. Georgettes and cottons work brilliantly during this weather. Wear pastel shades that don't attract too much heat.
. Don't wear very heavy jewellery, as this will trap the heat more. Do up your hair so sweat doesn't collect at the nape of your neck.
. Use an underarm deo with a deo spray so you stay fresh longer through the day.
. While of course your traditional cuisine like naans, pulav etc have to be served hot, try serving some cold dishes too. Cold salads, fruit salads and cold soups will go great to making your guests feel comfortable. Also, serve cold desserts like ice creams, cheesecakes and jelly.
