Household chemicals are toxic to general public as well as the environment. Some of the toxic household chemicals are bleach, oven cleaner, and bathroom cleaners. All household chemicals need to be stored out of sight and out of reach of small children and pets. Furthermore, under no circumstances should you flush household chemicals. It may possibly strain or damage the biological process occurring within the septic system and leach into soil as well as rivers and lakes.

Despite an improved understanding about poisonous chemical compounds, numerous household products are still loaded full of them. Many companies only care to make a buck, and do not use human and environmentally friendly substances. Next time you are in a store, check the label on the everyday cleaning products you purchase. Most will have very vague labels and some will have no label at all. Everyday products contain hazardous chemicals which sooner or later will harm your state of health. Studies have shown that toxic household chemicals may have a detrimental effects on the liver, immune systems, and even unborn fetuses.

Household cleaning items can be toxic, corrosive, combustible or reactive. If they were to be used in a factory or a hospital, those items would fall under OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulation. Unfortunately, these types of chemicals are not regulated within our home - subsequently, many companies do not put forth much effort to change the ingredients. Many simply care about the saving money and using cheap, unhealthy ingredients. The concentrations of dangerous substances inside often surpass those permitted outdoors and therefore are greater than those allowable commercial exposures. This is no longer a question of whether or not such chemicals are hazardous, it's a question of how is the public going to stop damaging its health.

If you are not outraged yet, you need to be. The future of our children is in our hands. There are many things you can do right now to fix the problem. First, switch to a cleaner product. Your purchases are your votes. Second, write to your congressmen and other representatived to let them know that you want these companies to take responsibility for their actions; request labeling laws. Third, spread the word and let everyone know how they can change their way of life; educate humans about healthy living.

Find out how you can stop falling victims to these hazards by reading the free green e-book at http://freeyourmind.toxinchecklist.com/ . Take care of your health today and live a happy tomorrow.
