Fox Films released a spoof/comedy film entitled "Vampires Suck" into theaters a while back. I watched it,and I thought overall, it was rather humorous. Some of the jokes were lame,so I can understand how the top critics gave it some pretty pessimistic reviews.
Never the less, it wasn't completely bad given that it did deliver some pretty amusing spoofs for the "Twilight Saga" films. It stars: Matt Lanter, Emily Brobst, Jenn Proske, Chris Riggi, Krystal Mayo, Crista Flanagan, Ken Jeong, Arielle Kebbel, and Devon Kelly.
The flick focused on character Becca , who was a spoof on the Twilight Saga Bella girl. The girl inevitably meets Jacob, then Edward, but his name is Edward Sullen instead of Cullen. Becca and Edward go through the same scenarios as the Twilight movies accept there is a little spoofy twist with them.
Edward saves Becca from the speeding van by slinging another individual in front of it,he gets rid of vampire James by banging his head off with a baseball bat and shoving it up his bottom,Edward's complete family tries to harm Becca instead of just the one member, and more.
And lastly, after offering one spoof after another,it provided a crazy ending, involving the Volturi Clan,or the spoof Volturi Clan I should say. They got that funny Asian chap from "The Hangover" flick to portray the head Volturi, and he was very amusing.
Edward and the Volturi ended up battling it out at the high school prom rather than the private palace in Italy. I thought the film was pretty amusing. They definitely missed on some of the spoofs mainly because they were just a bit too foolish ,but it was never mundane, and it did make me chuckle so I enjoyed it. It also featured a comical "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" spoof. I gave the flick a B- grade.
