When it comes time for you to buy a digital camera, there are of course a few attributes you should start thinking about such as price, use, and functionality. When it comes to digital cameras there are well over fifteen main brands that you have to choose from. All of these are going to offer the main attributes as above in various forms. Now depending on what you want to use the camera for, there are also going to be different brands and series. For example, when it comes to digital photography as a business you might want to choose use Canon SLR cameras or Nikon cameras.
The reason behind this is because of the amount of picture options, the quality of the photos and the quickness of the shot being taken. Whereas if you want a camera that has very few options, takes medium to good pictures, something that is very compact and easy to use you might look for something like a simple point and shoot. Let's take a look at a few other options available for different levels as use as well:
1- Pentax & Vivitar: These originally started out as film cameras and you can still find them available for sale online. It's hard to say whether a digital or a film camera is better than the other one, I really think it depends on the person using it. You also have to remember that a picture is only as good as the person taking it. So even if you got a $5000 camera, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to take amazing pictures! The most popular Pentax for digital cameras is the K200D. With a dust proof, weather-resistant body, the intrepid K200D gives you the gear to go for it. And capture it in 10.2 mega-pixels with an easy-to-function user interface and a good deal of advanced characteristics that grow with your skills.
2- Fujifilm FinePix F30: This is one of the MANY compact cameras that FujiFilm is offering right now. Very cheap, very easy to use, and it takes good quality pictures as well. Most of these cameras also come with Photo programs and software's as well as USB hubs that are going to allow you to quickly transfer your photos from the memory card or hard drive, right to your computer. The Fujifilm FinePix F30 offers high sensitivity for a small sensor compact camera, 6.3 million pixels, 3 x the optical zoom, aperture and shutter options and 15 scene modes which allow for you to automatically switch between different lighting and textured situations such as snow, dark, rainy, sunny, behind glass, etc.
3- Canon Rebel: Almost anyone would agree that the two BEST cameras are Nikon cameras and Canon SLR cameras. They take fantastic pictures, you have a ton of different cameras to choose from in almost every single area; compact, DSLR, SLR, full format, etc. You also get lots of advanced options as well - these cameras in particular are terrific for people that really want to control the way the picture is taken and the end result. Of course these advanced cameras aren't for everyone, but if you do know how to use one, then the Nikon cameras and Canon SLR cameras are the way to go!
4- Hasselblad 503CW Medium Format SLR Camera: This is a superior camera for a superior photographer. While most of the cameras above are simply "point and shoot" or have point and shoot options the medium to large formats like the Hasselblad 503CW is all about "slow" aperture and shutter speed. These aren't usually used for high octane sports, or activities. Usually they are used for situations where you can afford to be "slow". Obviously there are also cameras used in sports events that are medium to large format cameras that are meant for high-speed activities - but this is something you need to check the camera for and what its used for! This specific camera is expensive, but if you did purchase it for what it's to be used for, you would also get some of the most stunning photos you ever thought possible!
SLR cameras such as the ones above, along with medium and large format options can be found right on the Internet, for really cheap prices. It's always important to make sure you are getting the best camera for YOU. Chances are if you want a compact and splurge to buy a digital SLR, it's going to take a lot of time for you to learn how to properly use it unless you are a quick learner!
