Turkey has many charming inns along the Aegean coast. Altinkum is one such small resort town on the coast of the Aegean Sea; it is merely 90 minutes away from Bodrum Air-port. It is the well-preserved classical metropolitan on the Mediterranean, and gives you a idea of what life was like in Roman times. It is said that the Virgin Mary, at the end of her life, came to Ephesus accompanied by St. Paul. Also St. John is said to have lived the last few years of his life here and after his passing away, a shrine, the Basilica of St. John was situated over his tomb.
You can take a boat trip to the Greek island of Samos. Samos lies at the north-eastern section of the Aegean Sea. Holidaymakers are enthralled to see the beautiful mountainous landscaping of Samos with the imperative beauty of the nature plus the historical spread all over the island. It is a magnificent and unique experience.
Or perhaps you will take pleasure in a walk close to the attractive Bafa Lake nearby; it has a fantastic mountain backdrop. Visit the Didim Aqua Park, just outside of Altinkum resort; the Aqua Park was built in 2004 and is very popular.
