Have you always wanted to learn a new language but fear that it would be too difficult? Learn to feel comfortable with feeling uncomfortable. If you take classes it will help you to remember that everyone is starting at the exact same point. No one will laugh if you use the wrong tense or make some other common mistake.

Some common problems people have with a classroom setting is fear of failure in front of other students, being self-conscious, or wondering what others might say or think when mistakes are made. Try to remember that in a beginner's class, all the other people are new to French. Try to avoid worry, relax, and speak French the best you can - mistakes and all. You'll have more fun learning as will your classmates.

Another great benefit is if you ever travel to France you'll feel much more comfortable.
