Cut 8 1/2 x 11 shiny orange cardstock into 4 pieces.
Type or hand write your party details in calligraphy on a piece of light tangerine scrapbook paper, that has a faint complimentary pattern.
Cut each finished piece of scrapbook paper with decorative scissors so that they measure 3 x 4 1/2 and glue to the 4 pieces of cardstock.
Decorate the corners with Big Bird stickers and embellish the edges with yellow glitter.
On the reverse side, decorate with Big Bird stickers and die cuts of letters and numbers.
Place invitations into bright orange envelopes. Decorate them with Big Bird stickers and either hand deliver or mail to your guests.

Cut 8 1/2 x 11 shiny yellow cardstock into 2 pieces and fold in half.
Using decorative scissors, trim the edges of a photo of your baby in their favorite Sesame Street character costume, so that the photo is slightly smaller than the cardstock.
Glue the photo to the front of the invitation. Put Come Celebrate My 1st Birthday! above the photo.

Hand deliver your cookie invitations to your guests.

Cut a large oval from shiny red cardstock for Elmo s head. Then cut a small circle from shiny orange cardstock to create his nose. Lastly, cut an open shaped mouth from either shiny black cardstock or black felt.
To create Elmo s face, start by gluing the orange nose and black mouth to the red oval. Finish his face by gluing large goggly eyes above his nose.
On the reverse side, type or hand write in calligraphy, the party details.
Place your Elmo invites into a colorful envelope and decorate with Sesame Street stickers, or hand deliver them to your guests.
EMBELLISH READY MADE SESAME STREET INVITATIONS
Buy ready made Sesame Street invitations featuring Big Bird and embellish the picture. Add wiggly eyes, yellow feathers on the body, and red felt for the mouth.
For a variation to this idea, download your favorite Sesame Street character and glue the picture to a piece of cardstock. Then embellish the picture. For example, you could add blue yarn loops to a picture of the Cookie Monster or green glitter to Oscar the Grouch.
