The bride and groom, for their wedding day, should try and look but natural; rather than look 'extraordinary'. Trying out something new, be it a shirt style or a haircut, for the d-day, could be a big mistake of the groom. Changing the style of ties or anything similar just at the brink of clicking the wedding pictures should be avoided. Strains at the shoulder line or the waistline should be checked if he decides to wear a suit after a long time.

The bride too is advised not to go in for unconventional hair dos or styling, that might create last minute panic. Opting for a non conventional dress is fine till the time the bride's outfit complements the groom's attire. If the bridegroom decides on a boutonniere, he should make sure to not go for the one which is larger than the outer peak of his lapel. If she plans to wear a corsage with her outfit, the bride should go in for garment that would go over the shoulder, so as to pin it there.

It is best to go with the makeup that she is completely familiar with and thus confident about. Do not try new shads on this day. If possible, she should only try to keep the eye make-up at a minimum. Due to the camera the eye makeup can look much brighter and evident in the pictures.

The blush on should be applied carefully, with the firm line of the cheekbone outlined by a brush or applicator, and only a faint color should be applied, carrying it as far down as the edges of the cheek line. Chin does not need a stronger color so stick to a pastel hue. There should however be a good color, with a proper lining, for the lips. Softening the look of the face is easy with a mild dusting of pressed powder in a lighter tone.

Highlighting of the face may be required to achieve a better look for the photographs. There are also assistants, who instead of merely applying your choice of makeup, make their suggestions also; from years of experience. The bridegroom may, at certain times use a little trick to provide a fresh glow to his face. Rubbing a cologne stick on the forehead and upper area of the face is a quick way to achieve an immediate glow when getting ready to click the portrait.

The best wedding pictures are the ones where the bride and the groom seem to be carefree and indifferent to the fact that they are posing n front of the camera. A neat look can be attained if the bridegroom tries for a new haircut and sticks to crisp collared shirts. If wedding ties define the groom's personal taste, stick to it and do not opt for any last minute changes. If perhaps he decides to go with one of his old suits, he should check if it requires any alteration; or if it is altogether out of question.
