Hoping to Play better golf? Does this sound routine? Your tee off time is in an hour, and you're scattering to jam all things in before then. You dash to the golf course, you haven't had a midday meal, you show up, throw your shoes on, nab your bag and arrive at the tee just in time. Stiff as a board, your mind still racing, a couple of practice swings, and away you go. A slice here, a divet there, a couple of three putts and you know it's going to be one of those rounds again.

You aspire to play better golf, you know you can play better golf, but you also appreciate deep down that if you aspire to start lowering that handicap, you have to start improving on the preparation. So to help you with that, we would like to extend to you our 5 tips to assist to get you prepared for your next round.

1.) Map it out. It all begins here. If you need to force an entire days schedule for yourself into half a day each time you arrange a round of golf, you're match will always languish. This rapid paced pressured mentality puts your mind and body in a jumpy state that's hard to get out of. If you want to play better golf, retain the exact life pace that you would if you weren't playing that day. Priortize, and get completed only the items that really have to get done that day, and then go have fun. Your golf game will thank you.

2.) Relax your mind and get here and now. Apply that effor to the golf course as an opportunity to get your mind out of your everyday events and into your golf game. Delight in a few deep breaths and release your problems and your to do list. Don't fret, they'll be there later, but for now it's time to play better golf.

3.) Stretch it out. Simply put, if your body is not warmed up and stretched, you will not gain the strength, elasticity and range of motion to play better golf. Although they claim that golf is a mental game, let's not forget you have to be physically prepared as well. That's why it is critically valuable to get to the course several minutes beforehand to stretch it out a bit. This will not only aid your golf game, but it will substantially help decrease the probability of injury happening.

4.) Even a little practice helps. Before the game, hit a few drives, try a few chips, practice a few putts. This appears so obvious, but again we're frequently so pressured to 'squeeze' in our game, that we don't permit the time for the second stage of warming up and that's getting the actual feel of the game before it begins.

5.) Don't forget to have a meal. While not an extremely taxing sport, golf is still a sport where you are extending yourself both physically and mentally for a period of 4 to 5 hours. To play better golf do you think proper nutrition might be important? Playing on an empty stomach or grabbing a chocolate bar at the half way house just won't measure up. Eat a hardy lunch (or breakfast) and give your body the right opportunity to execute at its peak.

So there you go, just a few friendly tips to get you ready for your next round. Preparation is a key to success in each aspect of your life. So to play better golf, keep in mind it all starts with preparation. You'll score better, and as we appreciate it just makes the game that much more enjoyable!
