Paramount Films came out with a completely new, drama motion picture called "The Fighter" into movie theaters a while back, and it was a version of those feel good movies, however with lots of intense, unfavorable drama blended in. The film features: Mark Wahlberg, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Melissa Leo,and Jack McGee.
The movie centered around a gentleman named Mickey who's a rising fighter who seems to be interested in follow in his brother Dicky Eklund's footsteps. Dicky had in past times fought boxing champ Sugar Ray Leonard, and knocked him down. In spite of this, now, his every day life is filled up with a destructive drug addiction that effects his capacity to train Mickey correctly.
Mickey's mom and brother make an attempt to manage his boxing career, nevertheless, one bad incident after another leads him to go a stray to totally different management. His significant other Charlene Fleming also aids in his determination. Mickey was a losing boxer, but after parting ways with his family,he was able to build a successful record.
Subsequently, his brother fixed up his conduct in prison, and helped Mickey secure a title fight via some terrific boxing counsel from jail. At the end, the flick featured an outstanding "feel good" moment when Dicky reunited with his brother Mickey to support him in his title fight. I won't reveal the ending completely, but I'll just say it was very emotional at the end. I totally liked it.
The film had loads of loco drama, which included the girlfriend and also the sisters getting into a fight,Mickey getting his hand broken by the cops over Dickey, and lots of verbal altercations. It wasn't the caliber of the old Rocky flicks, but it kind of reminded me of those because it was a boxing movie. I gave the motion picture a B grade.
