The first season of American Idol is one that many people remember. Do you remember the first time that you watched an episode of American Idol? Each week that the season progressed saw more and more viewers tuning in to watch. The quality of the performances also seemed to get better and better as the weeks went on.
Even though karaoke has been done for a long time, it was rejuvenated when American Idol began. Everyone was stunned that it was possible that a Texas waitress could suddenly find herself as superstar singer with a million dollar recording contract. It was heartwarming and inspiring to think that this was possible. Everything changed about the music industry and her life because of a show called American idol.
People started to come out of the woodwork to sing to their favorite tunes. It was not long before they were buying up karaoke machines and karaoke cds to start singing along and practicing to become the next American Idol.
If you have never done karaoke, then you are missing out. Sure, at first, it is a bit nerve racking to do, even in the comfort of your own home with only your kids and spouse listening. However, the words move fast across the screen and it is tough to just read the words let alone sing them.
After you have become the pro at home, singing along just fine with the karaoke machine you will feel more confident to go to a party that will have karaoke. It is not a bad idea to take your own karaoke cds to the party so that you can sing the songs that you have already mastered at home.
It is interesting to watch others do karaoke. Some people are very good singers and they are confident. These people you think should try out for American Idol. Others are not so good but still confident and you hope that they do not attempt to try out for American Idol because they will make the TV edit for the worst singers who thought that they were good.
Ironically, the karaoke industry has been stereotyped into pop rock and country, when in fact you can find plenty of karaoke cds in all types of music genres. If you prefer to sing to heavy metal, classical music, reggae, or even musicals music, there are karaoke cds that can match your desires
A new generation has come alive to music again thanks in large part to American Idol. In the seventies it was popular to be a part of a band and that continued to the early eighties, but soon faded in the late eighties and nineties and was continuing on a downhill trend. This new surge in the interest of music has also impacted the karaoke industry.
