My husband and I have been working home based businesses for about 7 years. We have had various levels of success with different Network Marketing companies (always nutrition based) and definitely believe in earning residual income .
He is on many lists that send us information about new business opportunities (home based ones) and he forwards them to me. Lately there have been so many that I ve been getting dizzy reading them! I begin to read them based on the head lines but then they throw out words like marketing affiliate , Domain Name , PPC , etc...etc... I m always thinking WHAT?
My background is as a dance teacher and I only have done the network marketing businesses because I have believed in the products passionately and felt like I could share that with people. When it came to the back office and such, I left that to my husband as I felt completely out of my comfort zone. I often joked about being computer illiterate or of dancer brain (and I don t mean not smart..just artistic in nature..not computer savvy!). When my husband would ask me about certain ads that he d sent me, I d honestly tell him that it sounds o.k. (or great even!) but that I have truly NO idea WHAT they are talking about NOR do I have the time to figure it all out!
However, the other day, he sent me a link to a site. I clicked on it as usual (with my 3 year old in my lap asking me to play, play !) and read the ad. Well she got a little upset because my response of 1 minute honey kept being repeated over and over again as I read on and on. Hmmm...I thought. This seems different. This guy who became a multi millionaire in just 9 months was teaching people EVERYTHING they needed to know to do what he did to become rich! What??? Who does that? He said that he would guide me step by step, through video tutorials, on what to do to earn a very significant income. The ad said that I didn t need to have ANY internet experience or computer skills beyond clicking a mouse really. It also said that it was GUARANTEED or my money back. If I tested out his step by step system, I could learn what I needed to know, get going right away, and earn money right away! I also had 60 days to test it out! This was sounding better and better.. Hmmmmm. I thought. Might even I be able to learn this??
I truly was impressed and read and watched the videos on the ad again that night with hubby. We both were impressed and decided to give it a go. I tell you I am SOOOO glad that I did! We promised each other that we would work on it for an hour each night so that we could get up and running. I couldn t believe how excited I was about this! I had absolutely NO interest in learning anything beyond what I needed to know for basic everyday life when it came to computers before Monday.
Now here I was learning things about domain names, postings, internet marketing affiliates, etc... I didn t even KNOW what a Google group was before last night and now I belong to several groups! I feel like I have learned a whole new trade in less then a week! I cannot believe what I now know and quite honestly, that I am enjoying it so much! Me??? I m a dancer right? A dance teacher right? A stay at home Mom right?? Internet Marketing Affiliate??? Before tonight I would have said What is that??? and/or NO!! But now I guess I am...hmmmmm..funny.
So I guess I m just sharing with you because I felt the need to. I have always described myself as one way when it came to computers and now I just can t do that anymore. I ve always said that we shouldn t label or limit ourselves but just truly thought that my lack of computer prowess was a given and would just be how it was forever.
Thanks to these step by step tutorials, I now have the chance to grow and learn further and for that, I am very grateful. It s nice to be 40 and to be thinking that I m developing a whole new side of me . I can t wait to see what she is capable of.
