When planning a Cirrhosis diet, it's important to know what to eat and what not to eat. My own online research has led me to several important conclusions about what must be avoided while planning your meals.

Your body can adjust, to a certain point, to what you put into it. Certainly, you should find encouragement in the human Liver's ability to reverse damage.

You need to know just what you should and shouldn't be eating for optimal results. I will examine here just what you should absolutely avoid in your diet.

It Obviously, alcohol is the first thing to put on your list of things to avoid. Picture yourself carrying your liver to the top of a hill where it will be able to heal. When you pour alcohol down that hill, you make things slippery and, consequently, it's harder to get your liver up the hill, over the hump and in better shape.

Look at the food labels of common groceries. Notice the Sodium content. See what a big portion that one food is of the daily value?

So much of our food is full of salt, but if you're planning a Cirrhosis diet, you should understand that it's extra important for you to cut back on salt- it's just extra stress on your already overworked liver.

There are sodium free seasonings that are very good and you'll never miss the salt. Likely, you'll develop a taste for these over the more salty varieties and your liver will thank you for it.

The last thing to look out for is how much fat you eat every day. There's good fat and bad fat, but you want to monitor and regulate your total fat intake.

That being said, try and include more of the good fats, like Omega-3's. Some nuts are really good for you and are very filling as a snack.

Of course, the good fats are good for more than just your liver, but the rest of your body as well. Put the proper fuel in your system and keep the others out as much as possible- you'll be feeling better before you know it.

To sum up, be sure to avoid these three things in the interest of your liver:
Alcohol
Salt
Bad fats

Good luck to you and feel better!
