Having the right bathroom to suit your family needs does not always mean having the most stylish bathroom possible. Your bathroom needs to be practical as well as suitable for the needs of your family.
If you have a young family it would be totally unpractical to have a spa whirlpool bath which would be a dream for many adults. Trying to get the kids to take a bath at the best of times can be challenging without having the added fear of drowning them.
It is also wise to consider the mobility of your family members before you plan a bathroom. Family members or relatives with mobility issues will not thank you for installing a fashionable free standing bath if they cannot get in or out easily. As well as the ease of access into the bath for elderly relatives it is worth remembering that baths can create a very slippery environment which can prove to be extremely hazardous for older people who may not be so steady on their feet as perhaps they once were.
So when you come to plan out the design for your new bathroom it is worth looking a little further than the pages of the fashionable house magazines who try to sell you the latest in bathroom style when what you actually may need is fully functioning bathroom that caters for the needs of all members of your household, of course, if you can achieve this and still have your bathroom look like it is straight out of a show home then that is an added bonus.
