In todays modern world, crochet involves the use of a slip-knot on a hook, and this slipknot is pulled on using another loop. The second loop is pulled through the initially one and the process is repeated to produce a fabric. The chain can be worked in rows, or turned, in order to produce a crochet pattern. Rounds are built by pulling many stitches through one loop. It is these strategies that seperate the art of crochet from other forms of fabric making.

When compared to other fabric making methods, crochet is essentially quite a radical art-form. It has gone through several evolution steps to be able to become the art which we know of today. With the advent of different technologies and modern ways of making fabric, crochet is in danger of being wiped off its existence Having said that, many people are nonetheless fond of crochet it hopefully, they will pass in on to the younger generation to carry forward.

As a beginner, a individual should first learn the scheme used in creating a pattern row and also a single stitch. Here are some basic steps that will help a person find out how to make a crochet product.

1. First of all, the individual wil require some crochet tools like a G sized crochet hook, small scissors, worsted-weight yarn with any colors, and a yarn needle with a large eye.

2. He may start by holding the crochet hook in his right hand if he is right-handed. A slipknot should then be designed on the hook.

3. The hooked yarn should then be slid into the slipknow of the hook. This process will set up a continuous stitch or a chained like stitches. He will then proceed to bringing back the yarn on top of the hook making the thread go into the hook and grabbing the slip knot into the hook.

4. The 1st chain stitch can then be passed through, enabling the knot to be appropriately hooked onto the knot of the thread. This means the thread will be properly in place as so not to come loose. A much tighter knot would be better to create a chain stitch.

5. He may insert the hook to the hole of on the next chain stitch, and then slide the yarn passing through the center of the second chain stitch going to the upper part of the hook. Two loops will now have been designed on the hook of the threads.

6. He may bring the yarn back on the hook from back to front and slide the knot in the center of the loops that he had created on the hook.

7. From the second loop, create another one chain stitch to make a counter clock wise loop. This enables the book to stay in the chain stitches. This process may then be repeated, by creating the same loops as done in the previous rows.

8. A single crochet stitch in the initially loop is tightened, which then goes into the following loop of the previous rows. He must be exactly sure to create the hook on the last stitch to retain the stitches on their places.

At the end, the excess yarn is cut off from the skin. He must not forget to retain at least 6 inches of the thread on the last chain stitch. This makes it possible to slide the hook into the upper part of the loops and then bring the thread into the remaining loops of the hook. As a beginner, he may find it difficult to do especially on more detailed crochet products. He may start doing these basic steps to help him get used with the techniques.
