If you are overweight, or you want to engage in weight training, take a photograph of yourself and look at it every single day. It's important to put the photo in a very noticeable place. One spot you're sure to see it is on the bathroom mirror. This is not to discourage you, just the opposite, as you'll be replacing the picture every month. As you start seeing changes, your motivation to continue will be strong. This will be undeniable evidence of your progress, and this will serve as a reinforcement. If you're someone who prefers being around others as much as possible, you may get bored working out alone. All you have to do in this case is get a group together for workouts. In case you can't find any friends who want to pursue fitness, go out and find some new people for this. There is no shortage of activities to choose from, whether you're in the city, suburbs or a rural area. There are many things a group could do, such as go running, walking or cycling or play a ball game of some kind. All you have to do is participate in some activity that you like and exercises your body in some way.

One unique approach to getting motivated to do fitness training is to use the social networking power of the internet. A site such as Facebook is very useful in this regard. Of course, not everyone has lots of Facebook friends. You could always join a fitness related group on Facebook, though. So you're not weaseling out of this that easy! You can regularly update the group on your progress. Always update your status when you exercise. Your friends can provide you with motivation when you need it. Ask them to comment on your page, wall, or wherever with supportive and encouraging comments. When you keep it up, people will think you're cool for sticking with it. Make it one of your goals to find as many fitness tips that help your motivation as you can. Sift through all the fitness tips you can, and keep only those that sound like they'd be good for you. There are hundreds of exercise programs to choose from, as the same ones don't work for everybody. Once you find something that is useful, make use of it, and make it a part of your daily life.
