My boss had just given birth to a baby boy, and after all the excitement and compliments had died down, I began looking through baby gifts magazines and books to try and find some concept as to what to get as a distinctive gift.
Buying for a new baby is not in fact hard to do, as baby shops are full of awesome baby toys, clothes and other accessories. My employer has also come to be my friend over the years, soi have grown to know the family rather well. In many ways this helped me to look for something I believed would be both appreciated and valued.
However, when I started browsing round the baby shops the beautiful clothes, toys, baby blankets and wonderful sets of baby baskets packed with wonderful things for for both the mother and baby, it was actually, well,mind blowing!
Suddenly I was faced with a problem. There were so many baby-boy gifts to select, that I decided not to rush into anything and go over all the wonderfulwondrous gifts at hand before making a decision.
Surely new babies need plenty of baby cremes and skin lotions to keep them protected and fresh, and there are a plethora of these to be discovered in stores, and indeed in online baby stores. Alluring baby Bedding and pillows to match, adorable baby attire, bonnets and booties, the selection is boundless.
I considered the fact that the baby's dad is a vet and determined that maybe a themed gift-basket full of baby outfits and towels with animals embroidered on them, plus little fun books for when the baby's a little older. This was certainly something I would contemplate, but then I thought about possibly getting something that would look good in the baby's newly painted bedroom.
As I browsed through the section where the baby strollers and large cots were displayed I was captivated by the fantastic choices parents have today when choosing large items for their baby's room. Some of the accessories were exquisite and would not only be a beautiful addition to any child's room, but would be an extremely useful piece of furniture for years to come.
I deliberated over a delicate silver box for baby's first teeth through to a lovely teething ring with a silver charm suspended from it. beautiful silver egg cups and decorated spoons were all intriguing and the more I looked, the more confused I became. Apart from the common baby gear, I must confess these items were hard to resist.
Online baby stores provide you with the convenience to sort through hundreds of wonderful baby gifts from the comfort of your own home, and if you're uncertain about what gifts to buy this can be a bonus.
After looking online and working my way around many wonderful baby stores, I eventually decided to buy a silver photo frame with baby's name engraved on the top. I felt that the appealingly designed frame would hold plenty of photos of the baby's progress through life, and would always give pleasure to the family as a whole.
