While playing my Hunter in the newest World of Warcraft expansion - Cataclysm, I have found out that Savage Leather farming is very good way of earning gold. Or maybe you want to level up Leatherworking which requires a lot of this stuff. Anyway, when I realized Savage Leather sells so well in auction house I decided to find out the best places to farm it, to give me as much leather as possible in the shortest amount of time. After travelling around the new Cataclysm places, I wrote down the best ones.
Savage Leather farming places:
First place you want to try is in northern Twilight Highlands. Go to the field between The Black Breach and Dragonmaw Port. There are few different animals, pretty easy to kill, which drop Savage Leather. It is a good spot if you also level up our Cooking skill, because Toughened Flesh is also dropped from the animals. Also some vendor trash with high value.
The place I like the most is The Lost City of the Tol'Vir dungeon. But the problem is that you need a tanking character to do the job. Or you may try with a mage or something with good crowd control capabilities. A BM Hunter is also very good, also Demonology Warlock. When you enter the dungeon, on the left and right side there are two stacks of tigers (one elite and five normal). Kill them all and skin them. You want to know the real fact why this is my favorite place for Savage Leather Farming? Because you can get also many green and blue items. One day even level 359 epic item dropped which I sold it for BIG money. Oh one more thing. You need to be aware of the fact that you can enter the dungeons five times in one hour. But for these five runs it takes around 45 minutes. So it is damn worth it.
Oh and of course don't forget to clear your bags before you go farming. Once I did it and it was frustrating, don't make the same mistake.
Anyway, Savage Leather farming may be one of the ways to earn gold in World of Warcraft. But after I got a copy of CATACLYSM GOLD SECRETS EXPOSED, I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. You just need to know the tricks. I warmly recommend it to you.
