In World of Warcraft Skinning can be very profitable profession, especially if you know what sells well in auction house. I have a skinner hunter and I found out that Rugged Leather farming is a gold mine. The price is very high, so I decided to search for places with high density of mobs which I can skin them and drop me Rugged Leather. I traveled around Azeroth, and after a while I made a list of places.
Rugged Leather farming places:
First one for Rugged Leather Farming is in Blasted Lands. Pretty much every beast there drops rugged leather so just start at Nethergarde Keep (flying path for Alliance) and work your way South to Dark Portal. There are more than enough Basilisks, Boars, and Hyenas along the way, just keep heading back and forth till you have your fill.
Another one is in Dire Maul North dungeon. Just inside the dungeon there are lots of dogs that you can kill and skin, and when done, exit and reset. Viola you have a lot of rugged leather. You can get about 2-3 stacks per clear, which takes you less than 10 minutes.
These are my favorite places for Rugged Leather farming. I recommend you to go with your highest level skinner (80-85), so you don't waste time killing the mobs. And there is one more thing to say: before you go anywhere clear your bags first. That's because for skinning the animals, you need to loot them first. This means you will gather a lot of junk stuff filling your bags. Once I forgot it and it was quite frustrating, don't repeat the same mistake I did.
Anyway, Rugged Leather farming may be one of the ways to earn gold in World of Warcraft. But after I got a copy of CATACLYSM GOLD SECRETS EXPOSED, I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. You just need to know the tricks. I warmly recommend it to you.
