Do you want to level up your Tailoring or First Aid profession? Or you just want to farm Embersilk Cloth for profit? I have found out that I can make a lot of gold selling it in auction house. But the problem is, that Blizzard put very low drop rate for this kind of cloth. Besides three places I'm up to show you, you can consider doing random dungeons. Drop rate there is quite high, but the problem is, you are not alone. You share the drop among four other people.
Anyway, I traveled around new Cataclysm places, with an intention to find the best place for Embersilk Cloth farming. Not these are my top three spots:
Embersilk Cloth farming places:
First place you want to visit is Glopgut's Hollow in Twilight Highlands. There are two types of mobs which drop Embersilk - Glopgut Hurler and Glopgut Pounder. The good thing about this place is that there are a lot of these mobs here, so you really don't need to stop and wait them to respawn. I calculated that I gathered around 4 stacks per hour. This a good number considering the high prices in auction house.
Next place you want to give yourself a try is Elementium Depths also in Twilight Highlands. This place is a mine, so the mobs you are going to kill are Twilight Miners and Twilight Overseer. After the calculation I ended up with around 4,5 stacks per hour. But be careful down there (if you are on PvP realm), you can be easily ganked. At least I was.
For me the best spot is The Relentless Front in Tol Barad, killing Relentless Soldiers and Infantry. I gathered around 6,5 stacks per hour. But there is one problem. This is a very popular area for both sides, because there are a lot of daily quests there. So the problem is you may be ganked quite frequently. But for me I totally like it, because Embersilk Cloth farming is usually very boring. And a bit of PvP while farming just entertains you a bit. Therefore, this is my very best place.
One more hint: before you go Embersilk Cloth farming, buy a Potion of Treasure Finding. Or ask a Alchemist friend to make one or two for you. It greatly increases the drop chance. From time to time you also get treasure chests with extra gold and items.
Anyway, Embersilk Cloth farming may be one of the ways to earn gold in World of Warcraft. But after I got a copy of CATACLYSM GOLD SECRETS EXPOSED, I found out all the other MUCH more profitable ways to get tons of gold easily. You just need to know the tricks. I warmly recommend it to you.
