There is a high percentage that adolescents who experience panic attacks will develop other mental illness during young adulthood.

It is also crucial to equip the person with the proper knowledge regarding the disorder and its treatment. Once it is done, relaxing exercises must be given to counter attack the anxiety. This helps the body fight the anxiety while it is still building up.
Relaxing exercises may be deep breathing exercises, yoga, meditation, acupuncture and many more. One way of channeling the energy and releasing the tension from the body is through engaging in physical activities like jogging, basketball, volleyball or simply walking. All that matters is that the person understands what he or she is going through and that he or she is equipped with the knowledge and techniques to cope with panic and anxiety.
