Warner Bros. Films released a brand-new action/fantasy/drama motion picture named "Sucker Punch" into movie theaters om March 25th. I saw it,and believed it was really good. It offered some seriously awesome action scenes.
Nevertheless, their storyline wasn't for the simple-minded as it displayed multiple levels of oddness, especially around the finish. I will say one thing, though,it was extremely one of a kind. The motion picture stars: Emily Browning, Vanessa Hudgens, Abbie Cornish, Jamie Chung, Jena Malone, Carla Gugino, Jon Hamm, Oscar Isaac, and Scott Glenn.
It revolved around a female named Baby Doll who's been locked away in an asylum of some kind, but this film does not show much asylum footage because it quickly takes us into the imaginary world of Baby Doll's thoughts, which featured not 1,but two different imaginary tales.
The initial one has Baby Doll in some type of gentlemen's club where she and other ladies are required to dance for and entertain men against their will. Baby Doll was frightened when she first arrived there, but ultimately met 4 new female pals named Sweat Pea,Rocket,Blondie, and Amber.
As the plot continued along, Baby Doll is required to dance so she can stay there. However, she's very shy. to get away from her timidness, she drifts into an imaginary world where she's like this warrior goddess and trumps dragons, big warrior robots, and all types of other crazy stuff. After she comes back out of the imaginary state, she's seemingly done an outstanding dance that everybody loves.
She eventually comes up with a strategy of escape with her four new pals that entails locating 4 special items. She reveals that she'll use her newly acquired dancing skills to help the young women retrieve the items. She continually keeps going in and out of her dream warrior goddess world, and also adds her friends into it with her. The warrior world was very cool. It presented the females taking out lots of soldiers, fighting, blowing up stuff, and just loads of other cool action scenes. It was extremely entertaining.
Things got rough after they got the initial 2 items. So bumpy,in fact, that it led to a couple of fatalities and one extremely strange ending. I'll just say that Baby Doll was completely out of it at the finish. Despite the very unusual plot, I thought the flick was cool to watch, particularly the action scenes. I sort of wished the movie had just been about the action as the scenes were definitely fun to view.
Vanessa Hudgens performed some cool scenes that could have you thinking she could possibly be an action-film star. Really, all the females did,but Vanessa is one of the more notable actresses of the bunch. I gave the film a great A grade.
