Everybody needs sport to refresh their mind or just having fun with friends and family. There are many kinds of sport. People will choose the sport based on their ability. No matter what people choose the sports, still the function of doing sport is just the same which is to get the body healthy. One of people's favorite sports is darts. It is a kind of throwing sport. Here, you will throw an arrow through the dartboard that sticks on the wall. The dartboard is a board that has distance number to measure the exact number where you throw the arrow. Actually, darts have been played before World War II. In that time, darts usually played in the pub.
The first darts were playing in United Kingdom. The material of dartboard in that period time made from solid woods. This solid wood will create much mess after being played. The owner of the pub felt annoyed with this game because they should clean the mess every night. They also have to repair the hole every night to the board. That made so much time to do. Some pubs had banned this game to their pub. Then, there was a new invention about the dartboard's material. People started to make the dartboard from the fiber. This is more efficient because they just have to bind the fiber part into a circle. This fiber material is used until today. There is also another kind of dartboard that is cheaper than the fiber one, which is paper. People who want to have serious game of dart prefer to use the dartboard from fiber rather than paper. For those who just want to have fun might use the paper.
Every dartboard, they are separated into four sections. There are double ring, triple ring, bull, and bull's eye. Bull's eye is in the center of the motherboard which usually colored in red. It is a highest point from all the section. Bull is the outside circle of the bull's eye. Bull's eye and bull are covered with the surrounding circle of triple ring. The last and the lowest point in this dartboard is called double ring. These four sections are separated with the thin wire. The thinner the wire, the best dartboard will be for the serious game in a tournament. The dartboard should be placed 8 feet or 173 cm from the floor. It should be 6 foot or 183 cm from the eye level of the person. The distance of the line which the player should stand is usually 7 feet or 237 cm from the dartboard which measured horizontally. The way to play darts is by throwing the arrow to the target point which is bull section. The scoring system of this game is based on the arrow stick on the dartboard. If the arrow sticks in the bull's eye or red circle, the score is 50 points. The point for the arrow that is sticking directly in the bull is 25 points. For the other is based on the number on the dartboard.
