Finding the screen resolution that is right for you is key to fully enjoying your computer experience. Higher resolution means that everything on the screen gets smaller so that you can fit more on your desktop. Having higher resolution makes everything bigger and easier to see, but this in turn leaves you with less room to do things.
To play with the resolution and find out what works best for you start off by right clicking the desktop, from there you can set the screen resolution however you please. If you're using windows vista you're going to right click your desktop, click personalize, then display settings. For windows XP you right click the desktop like the others then click properties, then go to the settings tab. Once you've played with the resolution and found which one you think you like, you can click apply, then if your asked you click the keep changes button, then you're solid and will probably never have to come back to this screen again, unless maybe you want to hook up a 2nd monitor which is something I would highly recommend you do if you ever come across the opportunity, this may sound useless, but once you find out all of the new things you can do you'll never want to go back.
