You know that place between life and death, a dog guard's that according to this artist. Just to know more about shadow dogs this artist studied many pictures even the ones that were in the local restaurant near her place. This artist who holds a fine arts degree from a university in New Mexico has shared her work around the country. For her work in fabrics, photography and printmaking she has gained many awards.

Form her series with dogs she now works with frogs. With the medium of steel she was able to make her work reach about 10 feet. The title of her humorous thesis was a young girl's fascination with frogs.

Taking part in her thesis was also her work on non rational states of consciousness. Definite links to shamanistic beliefs can be found in her work she said particularly that of how a man can collaborate with an animal by combining forms. In order to get our civilization to continue being, then we have to learn the olden ways of surviving this artists says. Also she mentioned how we have entered that time when we need to work together with other creatures.

Her monoprints of dogs are definitely collaboration. She volunteers at the local humane society and photographs for the local news as well. The stray dogs that need homes she has given about four of them.

The various dogs are the main characters in her monoprints. In turn she has to work at a pace that is not leisurely taking in to account everything all at once. It is easier if you know how to work on two things at the same time. It is here work will be physically straining.

There is always a sense of wonder when trying to see the image. There is always a sense of being direct and unsentimental in her work.

It is no fail that she is able to paint a moment in the life of the dog that will normally funny. Many times her paintings would always be of dogs yawning, sleeping in the grass, portrayed with their heads lost in a culvert or a can of kibble.

The main thing is to never forget about your titles says the artist. It is still funny even of you do not know what really happened. There are also some pieces in her collection that are commissioned by owners. She shares a business with her husband as they both do portraits.
