By it's definition a bow is a weapon that can shoot arrows due to it's elasticity. The bow has often been compared to a spring. By performing this action the user would propel the arrow in the direction the bow was aiming.

Now, in order to understand archery bows one must grasp the concept that there are different types of archery bows. For example, currently archery bows can be divided into four different categories. First, there is the longbow in which the bow can sometimes be as big as it's user. Next, there is the crossbow which is a smaller type bow. Then, there is the compound bow which can pack quite the punch. Finally, there is the recurve bow a simple bow that curves away from it's user.
The history of the bow and arrow is quite an intriguing one. Not only are bows one of the most in demand products on the net today but they are also extremely fun to use. In fact, archery has grown so popular that there are entire olympic games dedicated to the sport. So, if you practice enough you could become the next olympic archery champion.
