What is the best awy to buy ebooks? this is a question i wish i had the answer to when i first got my kindle ereader, after a month or so of buying ebooks from amazon on an individual basis at $5-$10 per ebook i got very fustrated that i was paying the same for an ebook that i would for the hardback paper version but not have the physical asset for the same price.
This set me off on a journey of looking for solutions and ways to get hold of ebooks without feeling robbed and knowing that the authors are getting paid. The first place i went was the novel network which is not worth anything, the site is jsut a portal and does not offer anything of value, it is partnered by mypad media which is the same thing under a differnt name. neither do u get what they advertise. so avoid avoid avoid.
The next solution i looked at was searching out my favourite authors websites ont eh net to buy the ebooks directly from them, this turned out to be a great way of buying ebooks becasue not only do you usually get the books for a discount from the amazon price but also get access to new release works before their general release date. plus i feel good that i know the autors are getting 100% of the money i pay for their hard work.
Next way i found was a free site called Scribd which is basically a photobucket type of sites for ebooks and online PDF files, anyone can sign up then publish books on this site. The library is huge and includes a lot of online works and free content as well as old comics and white(research) papers, i also found some new books on their but often not in a good format for my kindle. I also found after visiting this site i often got spyware on my laptop so i quickly got fed up with going to this site.
The final and best solution i found was Buy Ebook Online service, this is a site that offers a service which once subscribed users get access to online libraries of over 40,000 ebooks, the libraries contain some of the newest best sellers aswell as classic old novels. What i like most is the ability to browse by categories and genres so being a horror fan it helped me find new authors i was not yet aware of. The site cost just $20 and allowed me to download all the ebooks i liked, so now i have over 200 books collected on my kindle just from this site alone and must of saved hundreds of dollars.
