The kidney disease diet has become extremely popular in this day and age because kidney diseases popularity is unfortunately a growing trend in many of the races that live around the world. Renal issues can happen to people at any age, but is most common in late middle age. I've even heard of at least one teenager who has unfortunately suffered from this tragic disease.

An increase of one quarter this decade compared to the last has been found with renal disease. The major causes for the added increase in kidney disease is due to such illnesses as hypertension, obesity, diabetes mellitus, hypertension and a population that's aging as well.

The CDC, also known as the Centers for Disease Control, have estimated that about 20% of every adult whose over the age of 20 has or shows signs of chronic kidney disease. Here's a brief example to put it another terms that might make you understand this startling fact better. Say you're in a room with five other people. One of you is more than likely suffering from kidney disease and you may not even know it. Those odds are kind of scary when you think about it like that. You might actually be more likely to survive a game of Russian Roulette than to not be at risk of kidney disease.

The Centers for Disease Control also state that more than 400,000 patients are currently receiving dialysis or have received kidney transplants. This number is unfortunately expected to rise since the diet and lifestyle most people follow is not healthy for the body and in particular the kidneys. They just can't handle the types of food we ingest on a regular basis. We're simply not designed to process all this garbage food that people eat on a regular basis and it eventually catches up with you.
If you're still not shocked at these statistics, take a look at this one: Around 67,000 people pass away each year due to the failure of their kidneys.

Now let's get into a little bit of the controversy with the doctors.

You're most likely better off mimicking a renal diet before you even see a hint of a problem related to the kidneys. It helps protect your kidneys and allows them to stay healthy and function properly. Too many of us wait until there's a problem before taking action. Of course anybody suffering from a chronic illness is going to experience a great amount of regret that they put on their bodies, in particular their kidneys when talking about kidney disease.

The kidney disease diet has shown great results as far as delaying progression of renal diseases and those who are suffering throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Without a doubt, you'll be much better off joining this group of people than joining the ones who have a problem first.

Maybe one day it will be common practice to use a kidney disease diet and forgo these problems altogether.
