There are a lot ways on how to learn to sing and one this is through tutorial lessons. Before you can master singing it is important to take tutorial lessons for you to know the basic in singing, the right pronunciation of words, proper breathing, correct posture, facial expression and body movement. Let me share to you a little of what i know about singing. This is a starter tutorial. If you’ve never gotten any singing lessons or it has been a very long time since you’ve tried to improve your singing, then this might help you.

•Correct Posture – Make sure you use good posture when singing. If you’re singing and you have a slouch position it is very hard to open your throat, especially if you’re hunched over or your neck is bending. If you have watched an opera, you can notice that opera singers have a very good posture every time they perform on stage. The reason why correct posture is very important it is because it’s conducive to maximum range and use of vocal cords when your throat is open and allowing a lot of air to flow in and out of your system. This is to refrain you from choking the notes when singing.

•Sing from the diaphragm – When singing, you have to sing from the diaphragm and not from the lungs. We usually accidentally breathe from the lungs and sing from the lungs, which set up all kinds of problems for singers. It creates strain on your vocal chords and throat, which you can definitely feel when you’re singing improperly. You will notice increase in volume of your voice, and your range will be easily obtained when you start singing and breathing from down low in your diaphragm. You have to start doing some basic breathing exercise and you will then start singing from the diaphragm. By doing this you will got a lot air and there is a tendency that you will not choke the notes and by then you get the right pitch and the right note.

•Raising your soft palate – In taking voice lessons, you can also work on raising your soft palate located at the back of the throat. The first time i started singing, I really had no idea my throat was not really opened as much as it should be as a professional singer. But when i started opening my throat every time i sing, i was really surprised how easy things became. How you can raise your palate is for you to look in the mirror and notice your throat when making a sound or singing.

The only key in learning to sing is to listen attentively to your vocal coach if you’re taking voice lessons, but if you’re doing this all by yourself through the tips i gave you, constant practice it is. If you will follow all the tips mentioned above, definitely your level in singing will increase. Learning to sing is just a matter of hard work and patience.
