It's true, the hunting seasons have changed for good. You are no longer limited to hunting only at certain times of the year, and you can do this hunting without a license! Have you missed out on something in the hunting world? Read on to discover what I am talking about!
Perhaps I'd better explain what I mean. Due to the hunting laws and regulations, the hunting of animals and birds is limited to certain times during the year. However, hunters are such fanatics, that others have taken notice of this and have produced deer hunting games and other hunting games which can be played on the television or the computer, if your computer has enough memory for this. This means that there is never a close season any more, something which many are unhappy about!
That's right, the invention of computer games has meant that hunters can play these games at any time of the day or night, at any time of the year, if the weather is fine, or they can hunt in heavy rain, in the freezing cold, in the heat of the day. These games have meant that there is now no end to the hunting season, it carries on all year long, just not outdoors. For some, this is a very mixed blessing. True, it does mean that hunters can use their skills from home, that they can be challenged by the game, and others that can play the game at the same time to make it more interactive. This cuts down on travel time, but it does mean that the game is there all the time just waiting to be played, again.
Now it takes a brave man or woman to put sport before their family, but when the call goes out that there is a team hunting game being played, that pull is often so strong that it even overcomes family ties. This means that boundaries need to be put in place, preferably before the game is even bought. Realize that these games are addictive, and fun as you use your skills to outsmart the animal being hunted.
Now, not everyone will become addicted to the online hunting games. It does depend which hunting games you choose, and how strong your will power is. But hunters do find that these games are great to get your skills sharpened before you venture outdoors. They enable the hunters to practice their skills from the warmth of their home, and to get back into the hunting mentality.
So are hunting games something to be recommended, or something that should be avoided at all costs? If the hunter in your family hasn't yet heard of these games, it won't be long before he or she does, because the hunting community is so strong. So be prepared, decide ahead of time how much, or how little these games can be played. You have been warned!
Now there are some pros for the hunting games. In many ways, the computerized versions of hunting are better, as you don't have to travel any distance at all, so you don't need a vehicle, or gas money, nor do you need a hunting license. You don't need to check the weather forecast, and you don't need expensive hunting equipment. You don't need specialized clothing either, but there are some negatives, as mentioned before. Some of these games have amazing graphics that will make you think you are there in the woods hunting that enormous stag. You don't have to commit entire days, weekends or weeks when you want to hunt, it can just be a few hours. It is easier to limit the time spent on a game than it is to restrict a day of hunting, when you often have to consider the other hunters you have traveled with. If your hunt is successful, then you will end up with plenty of meat or poultry for your freezer.
On the con side, the hunting games are there all the time, and there is no close season. All day and night these hunting games are available, provided you have the power to play them on your computer or television at home. Some of these can be played as team games or individually, it is up to you - not sure whether you count this as a pro or a con! Nothing gets hurt or killed in the playing of these games. They can be addictive, but then so can the real hunting.
So, there you have it, the hunting games are readily available if you should want to use them, and they can be less time consuming, if you want them to be. Remember now that hunting is an all season sport, although the decision to use hunting games or not is entirely up to you, or your family!
