1. The Atlantic Chinook salmon. The Chinook salmon lives in freshwaters and estuaries. It is referred to eat terrestrial, aquatic insects, and other types of crustaceans living in the water. Compare to other type of salmon, it live in flowing water like in lakes. This type of fish acts exactly like the Pink Salmon and the Chum Salmon in terms of entering in to the waters and their behaviour on their hatched eggs. The Sockeye Salmon grow faster and larger in Pacific region waters.
4. The Pink Salmon. It is a type often called as "Humpback or Humpies". It is the most abundant in number in terms of commercial importance It the smallest of all the salmon having an average weight of only 1.5 kg. It also small scale on its body marked by round shapes. Its tail has no silver color on it. The Pink Salmon has a short lifespan from about 2 years only.
5. The King Salmon. This kind of fish is covered by dark dots and small spots starting from its upper body down to its lateral lines, dorsa; tail and to its tail fins. The King salmon is considered to be the largest fish of all the fish in the Pacific regions and also the biggest freshwater fish in the Northern-Eastern regions. It often has a length of 147 cm and reach to a weight of about 61 plus kg. Salmons that are caught in the Kamchatka River are sometimes smaller compared in the Pacific regions.
